Team Description

CLS department owns the business of car rental, taxi and transfer reservations, travel insurance, cruise and ferry reservations. It has multiple products targeting B2B, B2C and B2B2C markets. Main customers are traditional travel agencies, online travel agencies, international airlines or corporates who offer travel solutions to their end users.

The department has back office (written in C++) and front office (written in Java) applications handling huge amount of transactions per seconds.

Mission description

Your mission is to help the team toprototype a layer allowing existing Taxi back office application to communicate front office using JSON protocol.

This prototype will be done in two main steps:

· Based on the existing WBS Taxi services, define the Taxi services with OpenTravel Model (OTM) objects. OTM is an OpenTravel Alliance (OTA) object language representation which Simplifies product design using models and allow to use XML or JSON to exchange objects between service providers and consumers. For this part, you will collaborate with an OTA (OpenTravel Alliance ) representative.
· Design and prototype the back-office application that will be in charge of interfacing the JSON services to the native XML Back-Office application. The design will be presented to the CLS Technical Solution Board and will be developed in Java based on some Amadeus Java Framework (OJF).

Requirements

You will need to show a good team spirit, to learn fast and to demonstrate some good communication skills.

A good knowledge of JSON and XML data structure is necessary.

We expect you to have basic skills of software design and Java development.
