Team Description

Amadeus is the leading transaction processor for the tourism industry providing technology solutions to airlines.

Within Airline IT division, Altea Inventory is a brand new inventory management solution used by over 100 airlines of all sizes in all markets. Dedicated to airlines flights handling, it uses the most advanced techniques in Availability, Schedule and Re-accommodation management in case of disruption.

The internship will take place within the Inventory Productivity Engineering team, part of the Airline IT Amadeus division. This team is in charge of deploying tools, frameworks and processes for the Inventory teams.

Main Responsibilities

Release management is the process of managing, planning, scheduling and controlling a software build through different stages and environments; including testing and deploying software releases.

Today, our department is composed of more than 400 developers that weekly produce around 1000 code changes and 50 technical release records.

Currently is difficult to have detailed information about the release content loaded in Production and Test Systems, when it was loaded and how to generate statistics. In order to get a status, it’s needed to manually search for the information in different pages and e-mails, which in many cases are unknown and show static data. Depending on the team profile, the shown data could be irrelevant, or incomplete.

The aim of the internship is to help the team toimplement the technical part of the already defined solution to automatically retrieve the release content from different sources and dynamically display it in a customizable dashboard. The solution will be based on REST APIs and a web GUI.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Java, JavaScript, Python, REST API Development, SQL

• Platinum, Bitbucket (Git), Mercurial

• Knowledge on Software Build process

• AngularJS, Web development

• Fluent in English
