Team description:

Aegean DDS team is composed by developers, testers and analysts, all working to build the e-commerce responsive site for Aegean airline company. The team is in charge of designing and implementing frontend layer (HTML/CSS and JavaScript), as well as integrating with back-end and developing custom business logic in Java.

The team has recently delivered a complete redesign and rewriting of the application in AngularJS. This new version is featuring responsiveness (same app with different display for desktop, tablet and mobile), accessibility and optimization for Android and iOS mobile devices.

Main responsibilities:

The candidate will help the team to develop a portal to allow the user to plan his trip by easily visualizing prices and destinations on a map. The candidate will jhave the opportunity to studya complex enterprise code base and to learn state of the art technologies and tools for client side and server side web developing.

The functionality willneed towork on the web as well as on mobile devices (iOS and Android). The candidate will take special care to insure functionality completeness and usability on mobile devices.

The trainee will participate in following activities:

· Study existing solutions for map based flight search
· Define of the functionality (business requirements, user experience, user interface)
· Integrate an existing product for map based flight search with the existing Aegean web application
· Propose and implement improvements and customization for the existing product

The candidate willuse the following technologies: TypeScript, Angular 4, Foundation and/or Bootstrap, Java, Maven, Spring MVC.

Requirements:

· Usability and Web UI skills (CSS, HTML)
· Coding skills
· Some knowledge of at least one of: Java, JavaScript, Spring, Angular 4
· Interest in the airline business
· Working English
