Team Description:

The internship will take place in the Development Engineering Services (DES) division of Amadeus.

DES division is committed to support Developer Experience across Amadeus Engineering Communities. Its goal is to promote and advocate the software development practices to improve R&D efficiency and thus help Amadeus deliver world-class business services. We provide to Amadeus Engineering Communities all necessary expertise and tools support during development and control phases (e.g quality assurance phases) from craft of the requirements, their code up to the delivery in production.

You will be integrated with a motivated team of 8 engineers and you will be in charge of improving the experience and promoting the practices of the Software Development Experiences.

Subject:

Software Workbench (SW) is the common Amadeus development platform for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) as a service .

SW platform is based on leading-edge technologies such as Docker containers, Jenkins pipeline, Bitbucket, jfrog, MongoDB, kafka, etc.

Amadeus source code is progressively being migrated to SW with different maturity levels. The target is eventually for all applications to be full CI/CD. To achieve this goal, we are looking for an intern to develop tutorial applications, a reference application showing how to use all the features of the SW platform from the developer code contribution until the production code load and therefore facilitate the adoption by dev teams.

Amadeus also uses many internal middleware libraries and we’re also looking at sample minimal applications explaining how to use them properly.

The intern responsibility is to help Amadeus dev teams to apply best development practices using CI/CD technologies and Amadeus middleware.

Required skills:

· Software design and development.
· Understanding of CI/CD software development cycles.
· Docker experience is a plus

Personal required skills:

· Creativity, Open minded, Analytical mind.

Programming skills:

· Experience in C++, Java, Python, shell
