Team description

Main Responsibilities

Amadeus provides sophisticated IT systems for enterprises and travel agents around the world: we facilitate online travel reservations and reduce costs thanks to our Global Distribution System (GDS).

However, these systems are increasingly subject to fraudsters / insiders / hackers. In collaboration with other groups, we have started doing research and development in behavioural fraud detection techniques that leverage Machine Learning and Data Mining algorithms based on Application output analysis (Such as logs as an example).

The goal of this internship would be to help the team toassessand perform the integration of these new tools and techniques within the new Hotel IT platform.

The intern will participate in following activities:

· Understand how our security internal solution works
· Perform a study with our internal and external stakeholders to define how to better fit the solution in our platform and define use cases
· Define the right inputs to monitor
· Participate to the integration of this security tool within our solution
· Propose new features and/or optimization
· Demonstrate added value on real examples

Requirements

Mandatory: Programming experience (preferably Java, Python),

Basic knowledge of machine learning techniques (supervised/unsupervised), statistics, log analytics, ElasticSearch, Spark/Hadoop HDFS, …

Personal skills: English, analytical skill, ability to learn quickly, adaptability to a multicultural environment, curiosity.
