Ever wondered what figures in an availability display mean and where they are coming from?

How airlines are handling the overbooking and whether there is really any good deal to make at the last minute?

Indeed, Inventory Production Definition team holds a strategic position by handling the heart of the Inventory of hundreds of airlines.

Main Responsibilities

In an initiative to improve the user experience for our Airline customers, we are wondering if certain profiles can emerge from the analysis of how they use today the system. Having profiles identified can lead to the implementation of a new UI that can adapt to the Airline profile. Thus it will ease the management of the rules to control the Inventory and be closer to the real needs of the customers.

The intern will participate in the implementation of a GUI monitoring tool, giving the ability to study the use of the UI by customers and thus propose profiles + implementation strategies for the new UI.

On top of that, this Monitoring tool could enhance the following:

- identify most valuable areas in the GUI

- identify main priority for Product Evolution

- generate alerts or be informed of UI errors proactively in order to fix the issue faster

- Identify the flow of users in the UI to propose later a better user experience

The tool will thus allow the analysis of the current Airlines users and the way they are implemented/use the current system. From this analysis, some profiles will emerge and for each will be defined a 'package' of functionalities.

On top of this analysis, it will be the opportunity to propose different implementation strategies and technical solutions to have a profile mechanism.

No constraints on the technology nor programming language to use.

Requirements

• Fluent in English

• Good communication skills

• Curiosity

• Good knowledge of Software development

• Analytic thinking
