Summary of the role

The Business Analyst in the Navitaire Government Security Messaging product management group will work with existing and potential airline customers to solve business problems, identify business requirements, provide sales and implementation support, and identify business process changes. This position involves extensive collaboration with clients, industry organizations, and other teams to identify and address complex problems and to deliver solid, successful and innovative products and solutions that support our customer’s objectives.

Main responsibilities

· Represent the Navitaire Government Security Messaging Team during customer implementation and upgrade projects including data or configuration collection
· Provide on-going collaboration with Navitaire Development, Quality Assurance, and Customer Support teams
· Perform business system and root cause analysis including testing of the Government Security product offerings and validating system settings
· Perform systems analysis for new messaging product initiatives
· Address and respond to customer inquiries and issues in a production or test environment
· Support sales pursuits involving existing and new customers
· Document and clarify business requirements and produce detailed use cases for messaging development efforts
· Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or above preferred
· At least2years’ experience in Business/Systems Analysis or Requirements Gathering/Analysis role
· At least 2years’ experience in root cause analysis
· Proven ability to solve problems and issues effectively
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
· Proven discipline to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
· Flexible work schedule; willing to travel
· Ability to assist in envisioning, designing, drafting of product requirements
· Ability to work with customers on-site and off-site

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous experience working directly with customers
· Previous experience supporting customer implementations
· Previous experience solving problems
· Previous experience prioritizing multiple efforts
· Knowledge of airline, facilitation and/or travel industry business processes
· Knowledge of airline/travel industry practices and/or standards: IATA, PSC, Facilitation
