BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

In an ever-increasing competitive environment, the mission of Travel Channels it to create a Live Travel Space where our customers can grow their businesses and serve travelers better.

The Travel Channels RND organization is responsible for delivering software solutions for all travel channels, integrating a number of components and services built by other R&D groups (Strategic Growth Businesses R&D, Core Shared Services R&D, Transversal Platform & Engineering, Airlines R&D). TCH-RND strives to make our customers successful in the Travel Channels, by delivering flexible and innovative products, with short time to market and high quality and technology standards.

Within TCH-RND, the FOR division is responsible of delivering top of the line front office systems that rely on a strong and secure platform enabling high productivity and adoption on the digitalization journey of the travel agents environment.

Selling Platform Connect is the flagship of these systems with others like ePower or Amadeus Direct. These applications serve different businesses but share the same needs for technical enablers in term of Non Functional requirements (Quality, Security, Scalability, Resiliency, Accessibility to name a few), analytics and dashboards, native A/B test, UI framework foundations like our Design Factory (based on Angular for now), decoupled architecture with micro services and cloud ready applications (with ACS) and so on. We now have a strong need of building a common technical platform for all these solutions raising needs for architectural expertise.

As a Front Office factory, it is also strategic to monitor the technical evolutions of the web technologies (libraries, frameworks...) and constantly evolve our stack to keep our leading position to always better serve our customers. Those regular evolutions (every 3 to 5 years) are opportunities to rework and evolve the user experience for our travel agents, improve their efficiency, bring innovation in the UI flows and more

With Amadeus Direct project as a pilot implementation, the architect will define what should be the future platform (client and server) on which front office applications will be built.

The architect will also have an educative role by contributing to the developers community, studying options, and recommending evolutions and providing knowledge on state-of-the art software architecture
