Team Description:

The DDS (Digital Design Services) department designs, develops and delivers web sites for Amadeus biggest e-commerce customers (Qantas, Lufthansa, Japan Airlines and many more). The department is divided in competency centers dedicated to a customer plus one more team responsible for providing frameworks, defining processes, industrializing tasks and harmonizing the development cycle all along the department. This team is named FPI and this is precisely the team that will welcome the intern / apprentice.

The FPI team is multicultural (5 nationalities) and composed of highly skilled engineers who are able of accomplishing all the tasks listed above... and more!

Performance matters to users. Web developers need to build applications that react quickly and render smoothly. Here in Amadeus we are committed to performances and to customer satisfaction.

The intern / apprentice will be involved in the study of performance optimization, benchmarking and in the development of a proof of concept of a web application rendered partially on the backend (Angular Universal). The intern / apprentice will also have to dive in multiple concepts such as lazy loading, AoT compilation (with Angular2 applications), service workers and web workers. Assessing performances can only be done thanks to reliable tools; that's whya part of the internship / apprenticeship will be dedicated to the evaluation of performance monitoring tools such as Angular Benchpress, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic.

Personal required skills:

Self-learner and innovative. Good communication skills. Fluency in English. Passionate.

Required technical skills:

Angular 2, ES5, ES6, TypeScript, webpack, Yarn
