Do you want to be our next: Supplier Quality Engineer (M/W)
Your role
As a Supplier Quality Engineer at ALTEN Belgium, you will be present on client’s plant to work on optimizing the quality of the existing products (electronics, mechanics) in the automotive industry, aeronautics, …
You will be the quality interface between Product Development, Engineering, Operations teams, Sourcing and Purchase during the Development and Production process.
You are in charge of:
- Communicating directly with suppliers on project issues, delays, process gates, and any other factors that may affect development and/or production
- The sourcing, the selection and the qualification of new and existing suppliers
- Initiating corrective actions to eliminate causes detected through root cause analysis & follow up to improve product performance
- Creating executive reports on supplier performance metrics
- Implementing process controls, and quality plans
- Conducting supplier system audits ( audit plans, reports & action plans)
You also work with:
- Product development to identify potential failure modes
- Developing & approving test plans, control plans, and product validation test results with suppliers
Your profile
You have an Engineering diploma or master degree with a first experience in Production Process.
Check out the product & system quality tools, you have or you want to work with:
- FMEA, 8D, 5Why, SPC…
- VDA, ISO, IPC, JDEC
- APQP, PPAP, ISO-TS…
In addition to your technical skills, you have:
- Strong analytical & interpersonal skills
- A problem-solving approach with an eye for quality
- Proficient in English & French or Dutch
