Site Installation Engineer

Purpose of the Job

In this role you will prepare and supervise execution of trackside and technical room installation activities on site. Scheduling staff and directing the installation of services or products according to specifications. This includes inspecting installation sites and testing equipment after installations to ensure proper function. Most of the work time will be on the different sites.

·  Correct operational/ hierarchically reporting to the PrIM
·  Execution of Installation Works on line with commitments and on time.
·  Respect of ALSTOM rules & procedures

Accountabilities

People: 0 direct reports

Responsibilities

·  Ensure that the installation activities/execution is in line with the installation planning.
·  Supervise the execution of the installation activities on field (done by subcontractors) for a defined project, under the lead of the Project Installation Manager (PrIM) in strict application of Alstom Transport policies, standards and applicable local regulations and standards to agreed levels of QCD.
·  Responsible to apply the EHS rules and make sure the other workers and subcontractors apply them as well.
·  To be trained in Method Statements, and their application in order to control the end quality of installation (installation check lists).
·  Responsible to give the status of physical progress (weekly reporting).
·  Monitoring and review of subcontractors.
·  Ability to meet critical project milestones.
·  Attention to quality and safety is required.
·  Must have good communication skills with customers, other on-site contractors and internal management.

Candidate Requirements

Educational Requirements

Technical Engineering Degree from High School or University (e.g. Electric / Mechanical / Electro mechanics)

Fluent in English

Technical Knowledge / Experience

3-5 years of experience in the railway industry

Must have relevant signaling knowledge

Electromechanical knowledge is mandatory.

Experience with Autocad software

Computer tools (pack office)

You are a self-driven, reliable and devoted person with good communication skills in English. You have a proactive and flexible attitude and could act as a team leader as well as a team player. It is important that you are resilient, have a sense of urgency and are thorough and precise.
