L'activité « Matériel Roulant » intervient dans la conception, la fabrication et la mise en service des TGV, trains, métros, tramways et locomotives.

Notre site de Valenciennes (1200 pers) est spécialisé dans la conception et la fabrication de Métro, Tram-Train et Train Régional à 2 Niveaux.

Purpose of the Job

· Support “tender team” on General Studies (Layout, Gauge, Weight, Clearance analysis, requirement)
· Perform 2D drawing and 3D modelling, annotations, dimensions and metadata
· Perform preliminary integration analysis.
· Apply applicable Mechanical Domain instructions, processes & tools.

Missions

Accountable for :

· Managing Weight Balance in compliance with Metier rules and processes
· Performing 2D layout with respect of Customer technical specification
· Performing 3D preliminary integration analysis, design annotations in compliance with QCD commitments, Metier rules and processes.
· Modelizing and storing allocated volumes and interfaces for sub-systems / components in Digital Mock-Up.
· Preparing and documenting Metier Design Reviews
· Performing gauge analysis in accordance with Metier rules and processes.
· Performing car/car clearance and car/bogie analysis.

Responsible for :

· Planning and piloting Mechanical Domain activities and related deliverables on project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific Customer (internal or external) requirements.
· Applying TD rules, processes and tools (single-domain) and ensuring Mechanical Domain deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits.
· Managing production of deliverables in accordance with Planning targets
· Preparing and documenting Mechanical Domain Design Reviews according to project schedule and following-up the main open actions.
· Resolving Project Mechanical issues on his topics.
· Reporting on Mechanical Domain activities progress and alerting relevant N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments.
· Respecting and/or allocating requirements and mechanical interfaces to Sub-Systems/equipments (Allocated volume, weight, location, 3PL, etc.)
· Validating relevant Mechanical Domain deliverables and securing planning.

Contributor for :

· Proposing Design Optimizations (weight, cost, etc.)
· Collaborating with Mechanical Domain Leader for continuous improvement of the Metier (including RoE).

Job Specifications

Knowledge & Experience

· Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with 1 to 2 years of experience.
· Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer).
· 3D Modelling, 2D drawing rules and stack-up analysis,
· Time management and reporting skill.
· Sense of urgency / priority.
· Structured and organised with Hands-on approach.
· English operational in read/writing and technical meetings
· Software : Excel, CATIA V5 are mandatory, VBA excel , Kinematic for CATIA V5, doors are recommanded
