In Belgium, Alstom is active in the design and manufacture of equipment, electrical and electronic systems for rolling stock and railway signalling. Alstom Belgium has developed two centers of excellence: one for traction systems including auxiliary converters and low voltage cabinets, and the second for signalling systems for main lines and ETCS (European Train Control System) / ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System).

MISSION :
Purpose of the role :
During Warranty phase, responsible to manage warranty obligations from beginning of the contract up to its closure. During maintenance phase ensure the management of maintenance activities.
Responsibilities :
1. Preparation of Warranty implementation :
o Prepare the budget for the Warranty Work Packages, based on tender and contract; Prepare the warranty phase (tools, organization, ways of working…)
o Define the spare parts lists in terms of quantity and type to ensure the warranty services
o Write and get internal & external approval of Warranty Plan; Prepare the Reliability monitoring plan, in collaboration with RAMS/LCC engineering.
o Prepare the configuration database of the installed fleet (Favoweb)
2. Execution of Warranty and/or maintenance :
o Manage the warranty/maintenance team (Alstom and subcontractors).
o Be in charge of Customer Care activities during warranty and/or maintenance according to contract clauses :
o supervision of corrective maintenance, repair process and retrofit activities, remote/on-site technical assistance; Update the configuration of the installed base
o negotiate and finalise with the customer variation orders with the involvement of Alstom Service T&P for activities beyond the contractual clauses.
o Follow-up of the delivery and warranty status of the installed base
o Manage inventory of spare parts.
3. Reliability growth management and problem solving (during Warranty):
o Be in charge to collect and transfer the data related to performance demonstration and reliability growth; manage the reliability growth actions during warranty (accountable)
o Lead quality and safety correctives actions during Warranty (accountable); Escalate to Sourcing and SQA with any issue related to reliability performance of external supplier’s products
o Participate as Alstom representative to the Failure Review boards with the customer
o Obsolescence management: manage obsolescence issues, (last time buy, follow-up engineering deliverables and implementation).
4. Work package management:
o Manage Project Warranty Work Package including all related activities as defined in the SIG WBS structure, follow-up the costs and regularly update the forecasts through the
o MPR/SPR process.
o Identify and manage Risks + mitigation plans
o Generate savings actions and secure them in SPRs.

Master's degree (engineering, business school or equivalent)
