JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform accounting and settlement of transactional activities for assumed and ceded facultative reinsurance payables and recoverables.
Collaborate with other Functional areas (Operations, Accounting, Claims) and other AGCS branch finance team in establishing reinsurance processes, booking flows and accuracy completeness controls.
Monitor credit control activities which drive collateral requirements for Schedule F
Lead projects related to system upgrades, integration, and migration. (This includes testing of new systems for completeness, accuracy, and functionality)
Provide sample testing and data gathering for outside auditors.
Support other projects as assigned
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
CPA Preferred
3-5 years of P&C insurance industry experience in Reinsurance Billing, Collections and reporting.
Knowledge and experience in dealing with various Reinsurance programs (Treaty & Facultative).
Knowledge and understanding of Statutory Accounting and Technical Reinsurance Accounts. Good understanding of Operational booking processes.
Knowledge and experience in dealing with various multi currency systems and accounting for multi currencies
Knowledge and understanding of standard accounting (GAAP) and P&C (Statutory) insurance and reinsurance practice and principles.
Strong organizational, analytical and multi-tasking skills necessary to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities in a faced paced environment.
Ability to collaborate with others, adapt to change and accept challenging assignments.
Proficient in Intermediate to Advance Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Solid organizational, analytical, documentation and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment.
