JOB PURPOSE/ROLE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive the delivery IT-side projects.
Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the program and its capability, including acting as a focal point for the facilitation of reference and project information/knowledge.
Control IT projects to ensure initiatives and supporting work streams, together with ensuring projects are delivered and escalate appropriately in the event that progress is delayed.
Ensure engagement with stakeholders throughout the project, keeping them informed of progress and issues throughout the project.
Ensure continued cooperation from stakeholders towards successful completion of the project and benefits realization.
Support project delivery colleagues where interdependencies demand collaborative action and team work.
Direct and lead initiatives that will support the delivery of this project and ensure adherence to Portfolio Governance and control.
Ensure adherence to PMLC and SDLC.
Support the governance of small IT projects using project management methodologies.
Assess the risks and issues that may threaten the successful delivery of the program, ensuring each project is delivered according to the project definition.
Deploy project governance standards and drive the quality assurance process for project gate review.
Manage the sign-off and successful closure of projects.
Drive the management and analysis of issues and the preparation of project data (reports, dashboards, presentations, etc.) related to resource utilization, project spend, analysis of data and presentation of required actions/decisions.
Align with ADM, test/release management, environment, Enterprise Architecture team, SMO and involve - if required - projects.
Identify, analyze and interpret relevant global and local activity data in order to define, challenge and secure that best practice underpins the project.
Use the information to set standards and for decisions making for specific projects.
Build, manage and motivate the project team, comprised of virtual teams across multiple projects and countries.
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the domain of practice of the role;
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of project management experience;
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in/exposure to IT topics;
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the insurance industry domain;
Experience with Stakeholder Management;
Ability to understand and interpret technical designs of databases, platforms, architecture, etc.;
Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
Strong analytical skills;
Solution Orientation;
Degree in IT, Engineering or similar; and
Professional Training Qualification preferred.
