JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain professional working relationships with AGCS UW, Business Development, Market Management and Claims personnel along with all other co-workers, clients, and brokers.
Working cooperatively with underwriting and the client to develop customized loss control program proposals including locations to be surveyed, scope and cost of LC services. Review, analyze, and distribute loss control reports, recommendations, and correspondence received.
Develop comprehensive year-end account summary for delivery to underwriting. Including the development and implementation of stewardship presentation designed to be delivered to the UW as well as external customer clients. Develop and implement Account Service instructions to guide the loss control services being provided to the client.
Complete as needed Loss Control surveys for managed accounts and also complete surveys within territory for other managed accounts.
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree: Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or other Engineering type discipline
Other: Other discipline will be considered in conjunction with extensive technical expertise or experience in the HPR insurance industry
Minimum 7-10 years of engineering experience in HPR type insurance environment
Minimum 3 years of experience handling property accounts in the capacity of an Account Engineer/Account Coordinator or equivalent
Ideal experience, though not required: Previous account coordination experience with handling of Global property insurance programs
Ideal experience, though not required: Society of Fire Protection Engineer (CFPS) or Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred
Demonstrate great engineering/technical expertise in fire protection/loss control atmosphere
Strong familiarity with Fire Protection guidelines via either FM, IRI, or applicable NFPA codes
Strong knowledge of insurance coverages and underwriting processes as they relate to loss control applicability
Strong familiarity with basic computer operation and skills highlighted in Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes or Windows email environment
Ability to work effectively in a home office environment
Ability to work well in a team environment
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
