JOB PURPOSE/ROLE
AWP Business Intelligence actively supports AWP growth through the introduction of performance measurement, making in the meantime Business areas able to develop new business models driven by data and based on real-time predictions/suggestions.
As a Business Intelligence Data Analyst you are responsible for driving analytical innovation, supporting business departments with concepts, methods, template solutions and improving underlying data model and tools. Our BI solution is based on the standards of the strategic business platform ABS (Allianz Business System), adding modern reporting, analysis and data exploration capabilities to the standardized operational functionality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a BI Data Analyst you contribute to the growth of AWP by:
Providing design support for the development of business intelligence solutions
Working on medium to complex and cross-functional IT and business intelligence solutions
Working with internal & external customers to gather and validate requirements
Determining and analyzing commonly used queries and reports, optimizing the platform
Analyzing business needs/problems and assisting in the creation of models that meet these needs
Identifying new components, functions and features and drive the continued development/enhancement of the platform in co-operation with a technical manager of the platform, who provides the technical skills to implement changes
Working closely with infrastructure, network, database, application, business intelligence and data science units
Find new ways to leverage on available internal and external data for the business goals
Developing and executing test plans
Resolving issues based on test results
Verifying the collected data according to quality standards
Providing support to test teams
Maintaining the quality of data repository by adding, modifying, and removing data as well as correlations
Applying security and compliance rules by managing user groups and access rights to different parts of data
Designing end-user training and training materials
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
University degree in computer science, mathematics, business informatics or in another technical field of study
Excellent command of English
Working experience with Business Intelligence solutions for at least 2 years
Knowledge of advanced data analysis methodology and practical use cases
Ability to identify patterns within available internal and external data and to leverage them for reaching concrete business goals
Experience & key skills
Team player mentality, oriented toward collaborative engagement (potentially in distributed, virtual teams). Demonstrated ability to collaborate with end users on gathering business requirements
Willingness and ability to challenge IT architecture proposals based on state-of-the-art software development and architecture best practices/patterns
Strong sense of ownership to independently drive a topic to resolution
Solid experience working in an agile international environment (fluent English is mandatory)
