JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

Working as a member of the global AWP Corporate Actuarial department, you will be part of the Paris team being responsible for the reserving / reserving oversight of the Business Units / countries of an international insurance group specializing in travel, assistance and product protection insurance. You will also contribute to local and global departmental and group projects, in particular actuarial aspects of Solvency II, and to the provision of other actuarial services to support functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carrying out full reserve analysis and analysis in support of the reserving oversight of the Business Units (BUs):

Quarterly BU Reserve analysis

Providing analysis supporting BU oversight activities

Reporting of results, e.g. preparation of the AWP Reserve Committee

Contributing to local and global projects being undertaken by the Corporate Actuarial team, in particular:

Contributing to Solvency II underwriting risk capital modeling activities

Contributing to departmental and group systems development projects

Contributing to departmental reporting projects

Providing actuarial support to other AWP functions

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

New graduate / Junior position

Holder of an Actuarial degree

Strong analysis and synthesis skills

Strong knowledge of Excel

Knowledge of SAS or ResQ an advantage

Knowledge of the insurance business an advantage

Good verbal and written communication skills

Team player, proactive

Rigorous, precise and conscientious

Fluent spoken and written English required
