With the aim of strengthening our team, we are looking for a:



Powertrain Transmission System Engineer - Automotive



The resource will support collection of basic requirements of the new functions, the specification of the functional requirement for Transmission and Vehicle Control systems, with focus on Vehicle Dynamics control, and the check of their integration on vehicle.

He/she will follow the activities in strong collaboration with Vehicle Electronics - Vehicles Dynamics – Transmission, and also will have direct contact with other teams, both in Vehicle Electronics, such as Functional Safety and Upfront Design & Integration, and in other departments, like Vehicle Validation.
Main tasks:

· Review of the basic requirements relevant for Powertrain systems and support to define the functional and integration requirements

· Support for Functional Safety analysis according to ISO 26262

· Development of the test plans for the validation of the new Transmission software and application, focused on the proof of concept for the integration of the new vehicle dynamics functions with the new engine contents.

· Execution of the vehicle integration test on the major Transmission and VCM SW releases, with focus on CAN communication interfaces

· Support for the functional and integration test with focus on the functional behaviour at vehicle level.

· Driveability and performance validation on the testing vehicles.

Support to Transmission Control team for the monitoring of testing vehicles and for the problem solving on the detected issues.

Profile

The ideal candidate has a Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering, at last 3 years of experience in Automotive Engineering, good technical knowledge of the E/E architecture of trucks or passenger cars, good technical knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics principles and Advanced Driving functions, good technical knowledge of Vehicle Networks (CAN, LIN) and experience in the use of Vector Tools.

Good knowledge of Italian and English languages.

Willing to travel in Italy and abroad.



Requirements

• Good technical knowledge of the E/E architecture of trucks or passenger cars

• Vehicle Networks: CAN, LIN

• Good knowledge of CANAlyzer / CANOe / Dbc)

• Basic experience in development according to ISO26262 / Functional Safety process
