Description of the job

A vacancy for a Telecoms Project Controller (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. As the successful candidate, you will join the TFSTP-Telecom Satellites Finance department.

In this role you will have to ensure the follow up of budget/costs, risks and opportunities and the reporting. You will have to make the link between technical and financial topics. This requires working hand in hand with the operational teams and being involved in the technical aspects to understand the activity and associated challenges.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Produce monthly financial transnational reporting (UK+France) on program Key Performance Indicators, comparing Actuals against Budget and Forecast ( Sales, Margin, Cost, & Cash).
·  Monitor carefully your costs within IFRS15 transition.
·  Perform monthly foreign currency forecast updates (GBP, USD, CAD, JPY).
·  Quarterly measurement of your project non-quality costs.
·  Introduce improvements to our financial reporting tools.
·  Ensure the program control of Prime & Mechanical Platform & Payload & Antenna activities. Coordination role.
·  Manage your program Profit & Loss and cash flow performance ( Customer invoices payment raising & tracking).
·  Analyse of project cost performance: follow Satellite activities by ensuring a link close with operational; identify activities under-over estimation.
·  Anticipate & report monthly project risks and opportunities. Participate in monthly project risk reviews.
·  Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of the Monthly Project Review [MPR] packs, Key Project.
·  Review [KPR] packs.
·  Work periodically on transnational (UK + France) combined tools and process improvement projects.
·  Perform project Working Capital reconciliations, and correct any errors in the SAP financial system.
·  Perform adhoc financial analysis.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level in Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
·  At least 5 years of experience in Finance/Controlling and deep understanding on finance processes.
·  Interest for technical topics and satellite activities.
·  Ability to adapt.
·  Ability to deliver within deadlines.
·  Ability to deal with various stakeholders and all levels of management.
·  Proven knowledge of Excel, SAP, BW.
·  Critical thinking, good analytical skills.
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
·  Negotiation level of English.
·  Negotiation level of French.
