A vacancy for a Technology Specialist Shop Floor (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Shopfloor Solutions France team within Information Management (IM). The position will involve working as part of a MFT focusing on the local operational technical risks associated with SA Production.

The “Goto Guru”/ Subject Matter Expert advises and delivers a specific technology or methodology use case.
You will collect, research and suggest solution to address requirements. You will also advise on the methodology and implementation approach. You should possess a deep transferable knowledge of new and emerging technologies, including the ability to autonomously develop POCs and to contribute to future IT strategies and standards.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Proving value of new technologies to establish business case
·  Updating the company guidelines and policies regarding the use of specific technology or methodology
·  Driving the update of the learning framework based on the known technology
·  Advising on specific topics related to the technology and/or methodology
·  Monitoring technology and/or methodology trends and supporting the teams to apply these within the Airbus Environment
·  Guiding and supporting the selection of the appropriate technologies and/or methodologies
·  Monitoring technological trends and using this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge
·  Able to make recommendations for buy versus build decisions

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in IT, Engineering, Production or Aeronautic
·  Experience in IT & Business Strategy Alignment
·  Experience IT Architecture & Product Design
·  Knowledge in Technology Trend Monitoring
·  Team Player and good communication & negotiation skills
·  Analytical mindset, able to manage a mission from beginning to end
·  Negotiation level of English and French
