Job Description

[ SUMMARY ]

The Simulator Maintenance Technician is responsible for operation and maintenance of the EC135 Full Flight Simulator located in Kobe, Japan.
[based on experience, the scope of work will be adjusted to a senior or junior position]

·  1. Simulator Maintenance

Daily pre/post flight inspections and housekeeping tasks
Preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with OEM maintenance program
Testing tasks in accordance with continuous certification plan
Documentations and record keeping related to operation and maintenance

·  2. Simulator Repairs

Troubleshooting
Hardware and software repairs
Modifications and improvement work

·  3. Management

Simulator log book and other record keeping, and reporting
Spare parts and materials management

[ NECESSARY SKILLS ]

·  Computer skills

Understanding and experience/high interest in real time computing environment
Knowledge and experience in commercial workstation hardware maintenance and
Windows/Linux software systems operations

·   Electrical systems skills

Basic knowledge to work safety around weak and strong electrical equipment
Basic skills and knowledge to use electrical tools, diagnostic tools, and test equipment
Ability to understand basic electrical system manuals and schematics

·  Mechanical systems skills

Basic knowledge to work safely around heavy and complex mechanical equipment
Basic skills to use hand tools and power tools to work on simulator mechanical systems

·   Management skills

Skills and abilities to work with maintenance and operation documents and manuals, and
plan and execute tasks based on the requirements

·   Communication skills

Ability to communicate with colleagues and specialists in English
Ability to communicate and work with OEM support representatives in English
(email/phone)
Japanese language skill a plus
