Description of the job

A vacancy for an Environment Specialist (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Blagnac. You will join the (SEES) Structure Engineering Department.

You will be in charge of supporting Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) activity and EHS data management linked to CML (Consumable Material List) and SAP-EHS (Hazmat Base), PMS (“Process and Material Specification”) and LRE ( List of Radioactive and Hazardous Elements).
You will provide support and expertise to other AIRBUS departments and Airlines on Environment, Materials & Processes through Tech Request Daily activity.
You will contribute to support the PMS content review.
You will manage Environmental post-treatment of Customer queries.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Ensuring the CML update with EHS data (Safety Data Sheet,etc),
·  Ensuring SAP-EHS update to include CML consumable,
·  Supporting the maintenance manuals impact assessment following any requested EHS regulation,
·  Identifying and Deploying the action plan for CML, PMS and LRE/ EHS compliance,
·  Providing EHS technical expertise to other departments,
·  Contributing to deliver the list of CML products compliant with current EU regulation and Airbus Policy to be used by Airbus employees, and identifying the main hazardous ones,
·  Providing visibility on the risks related to legal constraints and to the use of hazardous materials within customer services,
·  Ensuring proper actions are launched within AIRBUS,
·  Answering to Customer requests through the tool Tech Request for EHS and basic technical requests,
·  Monitoring and ensuring environmental post-treatment of the relevant customer requests,
·  Providing Customers with relevant EHS information using all Customer Services appropriate means and media,
·  Supporting other environmental activities :
·  Contributing to ISO 14001 action plan for Customer Services and ensure relevant reporting,
·  Contributing to environmental services establishment as required,
·  Ensuring SEE environmental representation during S environmental network meetings.
·  Contributing to continuous improvement process:
·  Contributing to or leads transversal projects within Customer Services as required/necessary.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Notion of consumable, metallic and composite materials in line with A/C structure and maintenance and technical documentation used for maintenance and repair activities,
·  Strong knowledge of Environmental Topic including Regulation (REACH, Biocide …)
·  Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and Chemical Risk management,
·  Able to plan and coordinate actions with other departments,
·  Good presentation skills, both oral and written,
·  Capable of performing synthetic analysis and report,
·  Capable of performing data management (excel…),
·  Understand Customer needs,
·  English : advanced level.
