Description of the job

A vacancy for a Product Quality Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join the “Avionics Power Conv. Quality TLS” Department.

In the context of electronic product development, your mission will consist in:

·  Helping the core team (that you are a part of) to succeed,
·  Guaranteeing that customer needs are satisfied,
·  Defining and applying the quality plan,
·  Ensuring the quality of the development processes,
·  Ensuring the quality function of different processes (design, integration, tests, etc.) applied to electronic & optomechanical products.

This position will require security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

As the Product Assurance manager, your main tasks will include:

·  Ensuring the quality interface with the customer,
·  Conducting reviews/milestones (internal or contractual),
·  Leading and arguing the justification files (anomaly treatment),
·  Ensuring the consistency between the customer requirements and Airbus Defence & Space quality know-how (Standard Quality Plan),
·  Establishing and conducting the implementation of the quality plan,
·  Defining the quality requirements applicable to subcontractors and leading the necessary actions,
·  Taking part in the definition and implementation of the project development plan,
·  Leading the actions of risk mitigation,
·  Coordinating the quality actions and managing the quality budget,
·  Certifying that the product conforms to its specification. To do this, you will be supported by the quality staff to ensure the correct treatment of product non-conformities.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a Master's degree level in engineering and/ or quality,
·  A first experience in quality engineering,
·  Knowledge of space quality requirements would be an asset,
·  Ability to build and manage relationships and drive operations,
·  Ability to work in reactive environments and make decisions,
·  Excellent communication skills,
·  Autonomous, self-starter, ability to analyse, meticulous nature,
·  Customer orientation, focused on results,
·  French: fluent,
·  English: advanced.
