Description of the job

A vacancy for a Product Owner has arisen within Airbus in Filton, Bristol within the Extended Enterprise (EE) team.

The EE can be best described as a collaborative network of partners (such as business, IM contributors, subcontractors, and suppliers) involved in the design, development, production, delivery and support of a product (like an Aircraft or Information System), and its associated services. Our role at ZIMTS is to facilitate that network of partners to achieve its goals.

Our goal is to completely redesign the experience with the EE in terms of processes and tools, using innovating new ways of working (Design thinking, Lean Startup, Agile development) and the latest infrastructure and security technologies. You will have the opportunity to contribute and/or lead product design and development depending on your role.

We are at the forefront of providing bleeding edge solutions that replaces our previous centralized access model.

We aim to leverage EE IM solutions with respect to the Airbus digital transformation e.g. Move to Cloud, Skywise, Google Suite, all aiming to secure Airbus’ objectives for single aisle ramp-up.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Ensure the end-to-end product lifecycle and roadmap of solutions, determine product strategy and drive the delivery of the solution.
• Lead a team to ensure the product / service lifecycle meets quality and service commitments.
• Accountable of the delivery of functional and conceptual architecture design for Extended Enterprise related projects intended for worldwide use.
• Work jointly with Airbus internal Customers and Suppliers to determine what IT/IS solutions are required to enable integration into Airbus.
• Accountable of a consistent and efficient architecture across products and secure integration across full portfolio by guiding solution decisions.

This role will involve some travel for business (averaging once a month) in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have some or all of the following skills and experience:

• Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent) in IM or demonstrated passion for information technology.
