Description of the job

A vacancy for a Primary Flight Control System designer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.

In the frame of the Engineering Function, the Systems Center of Competences, the 'Control Flight' domain, the job holder will contribute to the development of the new Integrated Flight Control System (IFCS) and that will include the Primary Flight Control System, the Auto Flight System and High Lift System.

You will be integrated in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team and will be in charge of:

- Elaboration of related high level Specifications and low level detailed Specifications using new Model Based System Engineering methodology
- Design of evolutions: high level and detailed design,
- Definition of the interfaces with the related systems / functions such as Navigation / Surveillance / Display / Warnings, etc.,
- Supplier monitoring,
- Contribution to the Safety, Verification and Validation related activities,
- Contribution to the Certification means of compliance dossier preparation.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Participating in the primary flight computers specifications (using formal specification tools, like SCAD, and new Model Based System Engineering tool) and in the integration of flight controls laws , High Lift System and Automatic Flight System in the PFCS specification,
- Defining and monitoring the activities to be subcontracted,
- Realising or following the definition of interfaces between Primary Flight Control computers and other avionics systems,
- Writing the Test requirements (Simulation, Laboratory or Flight) and following the associated progress,
- Participating in the safety analysis linked to Primary Flight Control System,
- Producing the required technical evidences needed for certification,
- Writing the documents associated to Primary Flight Control computers specification,
This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
