Description of the job

A vacancy for a Predictive Maintenance / Data analytics has arisen within Airbus to be based on the Toulouse site in France.

Data digitalisation and the transformation of these data by data analytic technics into value is becoming key for aircraft manufacturer like Airbus to improve our products and propose new services to our customers.

You will belong to the Domain Manage Flight EYA within Airbus. This domain is in charge of developing Communication & Surveillance systems, Cockpit systems, Navigation, Cockpit functions and Maintenance & E-Operations.

Within this domain, you will be a system health monitoring engineering with Data analytics competences within EYAM1, in charge of developing customer oriented solutions to diagnose the aircraft and to perform preventive maintenance actions.

Addressing preventive maintenance is now becoming a priority for many airlines. In this group, you will be a key player to develop these solutions in collaboration with Customer Services that deploy services and support for Airlines on A350, A380, or SA/LR.

The activity of the team you will belong to is meant to improve Operational Reliability of our aircraft and to reduce Direct Maintenance Cost for airlines.

Tasks & accountabilities

As the successful candidate your main activities will include:

·  analyzing massive aircraft data in a multi-competence team
·  looking for and defining potential interesting precursors enabling aircraft preventive maintenance,
·  proposing algorithms and applying them on a set of real aircraft data.

The challenges of this position are being able:

·  to apply data analytic technics on different types of aircraft data,
·  to practice team work on agile mode,
·  to dig into technical issues with other engineers

Required skills

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills and competencies:

·  Degree in Engineering or Mathematics/Statistics (or equivalent)
