Description of the job

A vacancy for an Optimization Manager for the Engineering Domain Information System (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. You will join the Architecture department.

It is an exciting time to join the Information Management (IM) Team. IM is the Information Technology (IT) business enabler and unique IM Business Partner for Airbus Defence and Space.

As a central function, IM is involved in all business processes and enables technical as well as management careers. IM covers a wide range of state-of-the-art technologies and positions ranging from IT infrastructure, application support to governance or strategic consultancy. We are the Engineering solutions architecture team and we are the system architects specialized in the information systems for the engineering of Airbus Defence & Space products.

For France:
This position will require security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Leading a multi-functional team, composed by applications, network, PC, back office experts,
·  Guaranteeing the availability and reliability of performance monitoring system,
·  Conducting the analysis and resolution of complex performance problem,
·  Planning and building new features / components of the performance monitoring system,
·  Participating in all phases of the system development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support to guarantee the delivery of a performant system,
·  Acting as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future IT Products and Services and validate solution designs,
·  Leading internal and external resources.

This role will involve some travel for business (5 times a year in Europe) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Engineering degree or Master's degree,
·  5 years of experience in Information System engineering,
·  Knowledge in information system architecture (software and hardware): TOGAF certification or equivalent, alternatively experience in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), would be very a real advantage,
·  Architecture knowledge of PLM and/or ALM systems (3D experience, Windchill),
·  Proven experience in coordination and leadership,
·  Knowledge and experience in big data, data lakes, data analytics, machine learning and/or artificial intelligence,
·  An initial experience in service management would be appreciated,
·  Ability to abstract problems and issues in analytical way,
·  Good interpersonal and presentation skills, communication skills and ability to work within a team (with colleagues from Germany, France, UK and Spain),
·  Language Skills: advanced level of English and negotiation level of French.
