Description of the job

Navblue Toulouse is looking for a Runway Safety Specialist (m/f)
Within Runway Safety team in the Bespoke Solutions product line, the jobholder main activity will be to contribute to the development of ROPS (Runway Overrun Prevention System) function on non-Airbus aircraft, from prototyping activity to certification demonstrations but also to coordinate with other NAVBLUE and Airbus teams involved in the ROPS engineering activities for Airbus aircraft.
The jobholder will work closely with the non-Airbus ROPS technical team to produce expected deliverables in due time, cost and quality in line with NAVBLUE contractual commitments.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Providing engineering solutions for ROPS on non-Airbus development,
·  Coordinating engineering activities for the team, in relation with Airbus stakeholders,
·  Analysing current Airbus design and propose new solutions adapted to non-Airbus aircraft,
·  Prototyping new ROPS designing and evaluating them in an agile workshop using existing Airbus and non-Airbus flight data,
·  Proposing new ways of working and to ensure the performance of non-Airbus activities,
·  Performing trade studies and performance analysis to prepare, define and then certify ROPS on non-Airbus.
·  Contributing to development activities by delivering consulting services (related to design, development, validation certification and support) in line with our contractual agreement with Aircraft Manufacturer and/or avionics supplier in terms of time, cost and quality,
·  Working closely with and support the Non-Airbus ROPS technical leader and ensures the adequate communication within the team.
·  Ensuring coordination on ROPS development activities with the whole ROPS stakeholders community in Airbus Engineering
·  Setting-up and ensure the coordination of ROPS related activities with all E entities involved in ROPS development (COC System Engineering, Flight physic, Flight test, etc…).
·  Ensuring that NAVBLUE teams are kept informed of ROPS development activities status at Airbus
·  Assessing latest ROPS development and check applicability to non-Airbus design to enrich specification to the highest level of maturity based on Airbus operators experience,
·  Participating to Intellectual Property protection activities in coordination with relevant Airbus stakeholders (Intellectual Property, Legal etc…)
·  Participating to regular meeting and reviews with Airbus engineering teams to ensure a good level of communication between NAVBLUE and Airbus Design Office regarding development activities and in-service feedback from Airbus ROPS operators.

This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a degree in aeronautical engineering or equivalent
·  Preferably + 5 years of experience
·  A proven experience in ROPS (Runway Overrun Prevention System), Aircraft performance or Avionics system development
·  Demonstrate good communication skills,
·  Recognized for your agility and analysis skills.
·  Negotiation level of English.
