Lead the new Airbus’ Mixed Reality activities with us

Airbus is looking for Mixed Reality Principal (m/f) to team up with its Digital Accelerator squad in Toulouse, France.

An exceptional opportunity is available for a positive, experienced and motivated Mixed Reality Principal with deep knowledge in augmented and virtual reality technologies. In addition, you understand a broad spectrum of digital technology and Agile principles and ways of working to connect the dots between the different digital enablers.

As the leader for mixed reality activities for all Airbus business units and subsidiaries, you will have to set the company vision and objectives and manage different teams and stakeholders to reach this vision.

Tasks & accountabilities

Specific responsibilities of the position will be:
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾
ø Building and consolidating cross-BU Airbus technology vision, research roadmap and strategy, based on your belief as well as your exchanges with internal and external partners;
ø Communicating on Airbus actions, internal and external, fostering technology adoption and synergies in airbus and across the industry;
ø Raising business awareness, collecting and analyzing use cases for new applications;
ø Sourcing and benchmarking new technologies to better drive business choices;
ø Researching current trends, best practices, development libraries and frameworks and advocating for the right tools for the task at hand;
ø Steering portfolio, measuring benefits, formalizing lessons learnt, implementation guideline and delivering pilot projects;
ø Unifying and coordinating Airbus community to maximize synergies;
ø Accelerating standardization and industrialization with internal and external stakeholders;
ø Steering complex projects with significant business impact within and beyond our organization;
ø Bridging the gap between development teams and business partners to understand product vision and requirements;
ø Working with business stakeholders, QA engineers, program managers, release engineers, enterprise architects, data architects, and data scientists to drive products from vision to implementation.

Required skills

ø A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technical field;
ø Experience in innovation and technology, Agile ways of working and management;
ø Demonstrated experience designing and testing mixed reality experiences, independent to the technology;
ø Ability to articulate technical issues and solutions to a non-technical audience;
ø Enjoys mentoring team members to help them grow and succeed;
ø Ability to develop metrics to track and measure the effect of improvements;
ø Strong analytical and technical problem solving skills;
ø Able to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks concurrently;
ø Advanced level of English, French would be appreciated.
