Description of the job :
An offer entitled Mechanic Instructor (m/f) has just been opened within Airbus Helicopters Training Services AHTS (a subsidiary of Airbus Helicopters) at its Marignane site.

You will join the team in charge of the training for customers on mechanical parts for the whole range of helicopters.

As a member of the Mechanics Instructors team of Airbus Helicopters Training Services, you will be in charge of teaching mechanics courses to the maintenance technicians of our customers and conducting all the necessary tasks to build the courses.

This position requires a security clearance or must be eligible for a clearance by recognized authorities.

Task & accountabilities :
A dynamic team of instructors, supported by the latest technological teaching methods, have achieved two basic challenges:
¤ Train helicopter crew to handle the most advanced technologies
¤ Keep up with a constantly changing regulatory environment.

Currently, AHTS is the only qualified theoretical and practical training center under EASA PART 147 for the Airbus Helicopters range.

¤ Efficient computerized instruction means
¤ Practical tasks completed on full size helicopters
¤ Fully equipped facilities composing a highly competitive environment.

Tasks / mission and responsibilities:

¤ Prepare courses,
¤ Teach In French or English language including theory and practice to maintenance technicians in France or abroad.
¤ Manage trainees and course administrative files,
¤ Comply with Civil Aviation Authority Regulation ie PART 66 and PART 147.
¤ Perform Training need Analysis,
¤ Develop and build Training Means (theoretical and practical),
¤ Update and maintain Training manuals,
¤ Participate in Airbus Helicopters Training Services development (technical and economic).

This role might involve travel for business worldwide (app. four times a year) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills :
We are looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:
• Having graduated with a BAC +2 years (BTS/DUT or equivalent) in Engineering / Aeronautical Maintenance or related discipline or equivalent qualification completed in a national military school or international military school (to be demonstrated)
• Eligibility to the license PART66 B1 or B2 or C FRA 66 category Be or equivalent ICAO is a plus
• A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience on helicopter Mechanics
• Team work
• Use Office Windows products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Team management experience is a plus
• Persistant and curious

Language skills :
. English: intermediate
. French : negotiation
