Job Description

OneWeb Satellites is pioneering new value propositions in space through the design and large-scale manufacturing of low-cost, ultra-high performing satellites at high-volumes.  These space-crafts are modular and designed for multiple mission configurations.  OneWeb Satellites’ ability to iterate on satellite design and launch new satellites in quantity faster than ever before secures our competitive advantage in spacecraft production.

Role:

VIE 12 months on behalf of the Quality Assurance department

Location:

Merritt Island/ Florida

Reports to:

FAL Quality Manager and Quality Improvement Manager

Context:

·  Limited resources from D2M (Design To Manufacturing) to support data access and post processing for Quality Management in Production.
·  Need to make sure basic data as specified by Quality (KPIs and KCs) are uploaded from Supplier Portal (for delivered Hardware) and from SCADA (for manufacturing activities) in MTI.
·  Need to post process the KPIs and KCs for trending and proactively alert on drifts.
·  Need to develop the visual management for Quality (dashboards) to support Gen1 production activities.

  Current activities for Torque curves extract (from Desoutter):

·  Review of the soft “Fastener Interface” being used as a baseline for data extraction from Desoutter.
·  Objective is for end of August to have a dedicated soft to extract the curves from Desoutter.
·  Note: Agreement from IT for storage space (using a virtual server).

Tasks:

·  To develop the code in MTI (SQL) to upload the Torque curves from the virtual server,
·  To develop the code in MTI (SQL) to upload the missing data from SCADA for all missing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Characteristics (KCs) identified by the Quality Engineers.
·  To make sure the data posted in the Supplier Portal (mostly KCs) for delivered hardware is properly uploaded into MTI and develop the code as deemed necessary.
·  To post process the KPIs and KCs in MTI for trend analysis to proactively identify Product and Process drifts.
·  To develop Quality dashboard per module and flow-down to Production (Andon screens on FAL).
·  To develop a Satellite ID Dashboard based on the suppliers hardware and SFC numbers for assembly and testing which reflects the status on the different Key Characteristics for each individual satellite.

Skills/degree:

·  English fluent,
·  Degree in IT Engineering (bachelor or better),
·  Junior profile preferred,
·  Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (meetings between USA and France)

Possible side activities and continuation:

·  To develop visual dashboards in JIRA to quantify the Non-Conformance Management process effectiveness,
·  To develop a Web Interface for management of the Non Conformances in SAP (ERP system).
