Job Description

This Management role is positioned within Airbus Defence & Space Ltd. It can is based at Hawthorn, and will form part of the Skynet 5 UK Engineering team. The PDS team are responsible for 4th Line Support to the Skynet 5 Core Baseband and Management System, and M2 services at the SGS’s and the provision of Network Support to project delivery. The team also support the installation of services across all Airbus Defence & Space (UKGC) owned sites and at customer sites (as applicable). The SK5 PDS Engineering Manager will typically engage at the preparation for FsDR stage of a project and support the Continual Service Assurance and Withdrawal of the service though it’s life. The PDS Team are dispersed across an number of sites and travel is expected to the Airbus Defence & Space Ground Stations and Offices on a frequent basis. As part of the role there may also be a requirement to travel to customer installations in the UK & overseas.
