Description of the job

The candidate will be attached to Materials and Processes Laboratory which is in charge to screen, develop, evaluate, qualify and support materials and processes used on helicopters.

Based in Marignane in south of France, you will join the transnational department “Green Methodologies and Coatings” also located in Paris-Le-Bourget and Donauwörth (Germany) and will take the responsibility of Coating Process Automation.

The candidate will be in charge to contribute to innovation on helicopters by developing automatized process for coating technologies.

Tasks & accountabilities

Toward this goal, your main missions will be
• To perform technological survey in your field of competence
• To build network and partnership with external companies
• To lead and animate projects of automation of coating processes
• To qualify and industrialise new technologies
• To support production by ensuring technical assistance
• To promote harmonization and mutualisation with other Airbus entities.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Required skills

You have the following skills and experience:
• You must be Process Engineer and/or specialized in automation.
• You should have min 3 years of experience in automotive industry in coating process automation; knowledge of process simulation would be a plus.
• Interested in upstream work (R&T, R&D), you must be “result oriented” with ability to perform proofs of concept in limited time. The candidate should be comfortable in production area to realize up scaling and industrialization of technologies.
• You must show natural leadership and have project management and communication skills; a first experience in collaborative project would be appreciated.
• French and English fluent (German appreciated)
