As part of a school curriculum in initial training , you are looking for a mandatory internship or integrated into a gap year , that will allow you to validate your studies. The internship duration is 6 months maximum.

You have people at heart and want to foster collaboration for Airbus engineers to help them meet the challenges of the future? You like dealing with varied teams, in a cross-functional environment? Are you willing to bring your fresh eye and experience on the way we work?

Today, with 5,000 Engineers in France and in-situ sub-contractors spread through a large number of buildings, we need to rethink our footprint and costs. We are looking for someone to support this challenge.

Do you enjoy connecting people and collaborating with many different organisations? This internship will give you the opportunity to work with all engineering areas, as well as finance, facility management and health & safety organizations.

We are looking for Engineering WORKPLACE optimization Project (m/f) who will be joining us at Airbus site in Toulouse - Saint-Martin-du-Touch .

This internship is to be filled from March 2020 (the dates are subject to a certain flexibility)

The purpose of this internship will lead you to:

- Support 5,000 people improve their professional living conditions, by giving them the means to work, with a high level of reactivity and empathy to understand their needs.

- Rethink our facilities to adapt to our company’s evolving objectives

- Optimize the costs linked to the use of our facilities.

About us:

You will work directly with the Executive Assistant to the Engineering Senior Site Representative for France & the Head of Engineering Programs and Systems Integration.

Our mission is articulated around 3 pillars:

- Compliance with labour law and health & safety regulations

- People's development where it makes sense, locally, or more generally to develop employees’ well-being

- Development of the engineering French national ecosystem, both industrial & academic

On the Programs and Systems Integration perimeter, we are a team of 15 managers whose mission is to connect the systems community to deliver and support integrated systems to our customers.

Joining our team will allow you to be immersed in the aircraft engineering environment while working on transversal projects.

·  Tasks and Responsibilities :

“I have the chance to work with all Engineering Centers in France, which gives me a global view of the activities in Airbus engineering and a projection for my future”.

You will be working under the supervision of your manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.

The objective of the internship is to coordinate, in collaboration with your tutor, a project team composed of various functions, with representatives from all Engineering Centers, Facility management (especially the innovation & digitalization part) and Finance organizations.

Your mission will be to encourage this team to:

-  Deliver a digital model of our engineering facilities (facility management digitalisation & innovation team).

- Propose practical solutions to use the facilities in a smart manner, optimizing costs

- Be creative in the way we think our spaces, to increase our attractiveness and creativity

-  You will be involved in creating the process to pursue the management of our working spaces in an ever simpler manner.

·  Required skills :

You are preparing a double diploma level Bac+ 5 in engineering and business management or equivalent and you obtain following competences:

- English: advance

- French: negotiation

-  You studied aerospace engineering and/or aerospace management

- You have some knowledge about project management

- You are able to use proficiently such tools as Pack Office, MS Project.

·  Soft skills:

-  You are a dynamic teammate and enjoy collaboration

- You have the ability to federate people around common objectives

- You are able to step back and propose new ideas

- You are naturally curious and pro-active

This internship is an opportunity to develop your skills in project management, leadership, empathy and resilience, and give you a more perspective wide of the life of a large company. This double degree combined with this experience opens doors to you to different sectors in engineering and finance.

You will need to develop a peripheral and holistic view of our industrial environment to nurture your main mission. Your tutor will expect and support that you’d discover, understand and learn about all the Engineering centres, their activities, our product families and how they are interlinked, through short “live my life” experiences.

Depending on the specifics of the offer, you may have to travel to another locations.
