Description of the job

Airbus (Blagnac) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will work within SEES3 department (10 people), responsible of high load analyses on structural components in case of abnormal event on all Airbus Civil Programmes.
The aim of the internship is to propose to Airbus Design Offices a generic preliminary inspection program in case of severe hard landing.

This study would be limited to Single Aisle program.

This internship will start on 1st September, 2016 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your responsibilities will include:

·  Reviewing previous cases (from 2013),
·  Creating dashboard:

* Classification by event criteria
* Classification by Severity Index (SI)
* Inspection program by ATA chapter
* Findings summary
* Aircraft release summary
* Etc.

·  Performing results analysis leading to the creation of a proposal of preliminary inspection programme.

This generic preliminary inspection programme will be submitted to the Airbus Design Offices for approval.
Then it will be dispatched internally through a memorandum and used in case of severe hard landing, including during out of office hours.
This would allow Airbus to ensure a reactive and consistent support pending completion of detailed load analysis.

In case of positive feedback, such analysis might be extended to other Airbus programs.

Required skills

You are in the 2nd year of a master's degree or in the 5th year of an engineering school, university or equivalent, specialising in general engineering.

You ideally have initial experience in this field.
You have skills in MS Office, general engineering and knowledge of aircraft structure / cell.

You are recognised for your open mindset, voluntarism and proactivity.
You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: negotiation level,
French: advanced level.
