Description of the job
Airbus (Toulouse) is looking for an intern for 4-6-month internship.
Within the Aircraft Systems Cost Estimation department, your main role will be to develop a cost estimation model for a propulsion system nacelle.
The Cost Estimation department produces and builds cost estimations. It provides expertise for the analysis of cost factors associated with a specific technology/product in order to facilitate decision-making. It is in charge of building cost models, calculating cost information and keeping all the necessary references up to date. It is a specialist in cost engineering methodology and is able to maintain and develop the technical knowledge required for cost estimation, interfacing with various experts.
This internship will start on 2nd February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities
Your internship will be based in the Aircraft System Cost Estimation team.
It will be focussed on aircraft propulsion system nacelles.
Using all the data and analyses previously produced by the team, your task will be to:
· Identify the key factors (technologies, dimensions) for the nacelle product with an influence on recurring costs
· Propose weightings for each of these factors and have them validated by experts
· Model all these factors and weightings, then produce a tool which can quickly produce cost estimations (for new product developments or modifications to existing products)
· Propose and carry out an identical project for non-recurring costs.
Required skills
You are in the final year of business school or a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university, specialising in Engineering/Finance.
You ideally have some initial experience.
You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
English: Intermediate level
French: Fluent.
