Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space SLC (Elancourt) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

It comprises several phases in the following order:
1. Familiarising yourself with the technical data and the constraints for the implementation of a microwave transmissions link: link budget, link dimensioning, frequency plan,
2. Contacting and meeting with the various microwave transmissions equipment manufacturers to enrich and consolidate the existing equipment database,
3. Implementing Pathloss software applied to PMR issues (import of database for sites, terrain, etc.),
4. Designing and carrying out several analyses on actual situations (Request for proposal, project etc.),
5. Drawing up a document describing these analyses,
6. Analysing and highlighting the strong and weak points of the software,
7. Comparing and analysing results between Pathloss and Pegasus (tool currently used),
8. Drawing up a document indicating the characteristics, as well as the results of the comparison,
9. Drawing up a methods guide for Pathloss users,
10. Conclusions.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school or a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university, specialising in Telecommunications, Networks.

You ideally have initial experience in this field.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: advanced level.
French: fluent level
