Description of the job

Airbus (Nantes) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will join a transversal team in charge of innovation, development and dissemination of new metal technologies based on the Airbus Nantes site.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main activities will include:

·  Defining the state of the art of blank development processes used in Airbus programmes for aluminium alloys (sheets, forged, extruded, welded, etc.),
·  Defining the standards to simplify the procurement technical specifications,
·  Creating a manual of design principles for the Design Office (Design to Manufacture).

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in 5th year of university. You have a general engineering background or you are specialising in Industrial engineering, Mechanical engineering, Materials or Quality engineering.

You ideally have an initial experience.

You have skills in the following areas:

·  Technology development,
·  Project steering, improvement, quality and innovation follow-up,
·  Communication,
·  Industrial engineering fundamentals,
·  Stakeholder management,
·  Project management,
·  Development of strategies,
·  Product and programme strategy,
·  Activity planning.

You know the basic functions of CATIA software.

You are able to interact with and influence others, you are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: fluent.
