Description of the job

An internship position in Engineering in Optimization of Satellite Communication for Aircraft has arisen within Airbus Toulouse. You will join the Airbus Audio/Com/Antenna/Radome
The purpose of the internship is to define an algorithm to optimize several data flow (data or voice) between the aircraft and the ground through Satcom (satellite), depending on several criteria, but in a seamless way for the user.
This internship will start in the March 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include

·  Several network are available, with different performances in terms of cost, quality of Service
·  Several parameters will be available and monitored (noise/signal ratio, latency,…).

The aim is to optimize the data/voice transfert according to user's preferences.

·  State of the art review
·  In-flight data review
·  Algorithm definition and development
·  Algorithm test
·  Results analysis

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  In the 2nd year of a Master's degree in telecom or engineering school with telecom speciality
·  Software development (standard programming language as C, java, Python, …)
·  Integration of software components
·  Telecommunication and network knowledge
·  Autonomous on software development
·  Pro active
·  English Advanced
·  Français intermediate
