Description of the job
An internship position in Aeronautical Engineering – Consolidation of Safety Lessons Learnt from In-Service Events (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. You will join the Safety Strategy Development department.
The purpose of this internship will be to give feedback for particular risks and failure conditions that have to be taken into account in the design of the aircraft. On the light of lessons learnt, to analyse the relevance of Airbus Particular Risk models and to propose improvements.
This internship will start in March 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
· Analysis of documents produced in the context of the Safety activities during the previous developments;
· Interviews with various Airbus focal points in order to collect information
· Investigation in Airbus tools/Databases, in particular Safety Data Management that records in-service events, to extract relevant information
· Creation of the extraction rules and specification of the “extraction tool”; validated with 1 or 2 use cases
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· In the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in the 5th year of a university or engineering school, with a specialisation in Aeronautical Engineering,
· Good communication skills
· Knowledge of Aviation System
· Good knowledge of Safety Analysis in Aviation and Safety standards
· Advanced level of English and French
