Description of the job

Airbus (Saint-Martin) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship to work on Innovative Flight Test Centre Tools development. This internship will start in January/February 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

The aim of this training period will be to develop and harmonize the different algorithms or scripts used in the analyses of data recorded during Flight Control flight testing.

These different programs aim to:

·  Automate monitoring performed on the Flight Controls System during flight tests or ground test.
·  Detect anomalies or produce statistics on the flight test Big Data resources.
·  Produce results visualization (dashboard, curves…).

Tasks & accountabilities

The first phase of the internship will consist in an exhaustive collection of existing tools and associate constraints.

The second phase will consist in proposing ways of improvement and harmonization and to apply them during the A350-1000 flight tests campaign.

Through this internship, you will gain global knowledge of Flight Controls System and Flight Tests domain and will have the opportunity to put into practice on the A350 -1000 flight test campaign.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

You are in the last year of a Master's degree either in:

·  Computer Science and/or Mathematics specialising in Data Science and Big Data,


·  Aerospace Engineering with strong Computer Science/Coding skills.
·  Good knowledge of Statistic Methods and Data Analysis.
·  Experience programming in Python or C.
·  Knowledge in Flight Mechanics, Flight Control would be highly appreciated.
·  Knowledge of the Aerospace industry would be desirable.
·  You are curious and proactive and have excellent interpersonal skills.
·  You have a negotiation level in French and advanced level in English.
