Description of the job

Airbus Toulouse is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

In the frame of A350 Engine tests, you will be involved on innovative big data use for tests analyses optimization. You will be attached to the "Extended Propulsion" group within the Flight and integration Tests Centre of Airbus.

You will be at the heart of the flight tests and close to tests benches, engines, planes.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

You will use Big data tools, mathematics and statistics approach as data scientist to:

·  Define Algorithms (Python knowledge would be a must),
·  Enhance engine tests analyses,
·  Incorporate functional automatic tests analyses,
·  Make the test more exhaustive from airline point of view,
·  Increase aircraft robustness.

One of the challenges will be to use the current tools for Big Data and to understand the engine system.

The timeframe of the internship can be adapted.

Required skills

You are in the final year of a master's degree, or of an engineering school, or of a Faculty of Sciences, specializing in mathematics and statistics.

You ideally have an initial experience in the domain.

You have good knowledge of:

·  Information Technology,
·  Computer coding (Python for example),
·  Big data, mathematics, probabilities and statistics.

You are a strong team player, open minded, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

English: advanced level,
French: fluent.
