Description of the job

Airbus Helicopters (Marignane) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

Within the Design Office, the ETGH department designs and develops helicopter health and usage monitoring systems (HUMS), monitoring systems based on recording and analysing the operating data and vibration measurements taken during flight.
Your role will be to develop and test vibration data processing algorithms designed to automatically detect measurement anomalies that result in measurement line malfunctions (sensors, wiring, connectics, interferences, etc.).

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your role will include the following:
A discovery phase of the technical domains concerned: Helicopter mechanical engineering

·  Vibration measurements
·  Signal processing

A relative bibliographic research phase for researching abnormal signal detection methods.
Algorithm development phases using Matlab.
Algorithm validation phases using simulated or actual data.
A phase for drafting associated specifications.

Required skills

You are in the final year of business school, university or equivalent (5-year degree) specialising in engineering/mechanical engineering/vibrations/signal processing.

You ideally have initial experience in this field.

You have knowledge of Matlab.

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: advanced level.
French: fluent level.
