Description of the job

Airbus Safran Launchers (Les Mureaux) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

Prime Contractor for the major space and launch vehicle development programmes, Airbus Safran Launchers also contributes to complex systems architecture projects involving multiple players such as Air Traffic Management, Ballistic Missile Defence on behalf of NATO, etc.
In this context, Airbus Safran Launchers relies heavily on modelling and simulation techniques to support its various engineering activities.
Within the framework of the major SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) programme, Airbus Safran Launchers has developed an innovative platform for the validation of new concepts for airborne operations by performing serious gaming sessions involving operational specialists who use the platform.

This internship will start on 1st March 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Within the "Simulation" department, you will join the project team responsible for developing this gaming platform based on the latest software technologies such as Java 8, Eclipse RAP/RCP, EMF & CDO, and you will actively contribute to its evolution.

Required skills

You are in the second or final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in the 4th or 5th year of university, specialising in Information Technology/Industrial Computing.

You ideally have initial professional experience.

You have knowledge of:

·  Java and C/C++ languages,
·  The Eclipse development environment
·  Unix and Windows operating systems
·  The OOD method and object programming

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level
French: advanced level
