Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space Satellites (Elancourt) is looking for an intern for a 6-month internship.

You will join a team of 25 people dedicated to innovative network architecture (radio, tactical, fixed, etc.) and their management (implementation of ITIL process) in an international context.

Within an overall project of network visualisation, the aim of this internship is to simulate the behaviour of a Controller and a HD-IP (High Data - IP) radio link.

This internship will start on 01st January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

The internship will be composed of several phases:

·  Creating a controller instance simulating the connection between the HD-IP controller and its router (DHCP, VLAN),
·  Simulating in a basic way the radio channel which then is used to connect the controller instances (IPC or other, jig, latency)
·  Implementing the HD-IP protocol part within the virtual controller instances (C++ if recovering existing code) to best simulate the characteristics of a HDIP link

Expected deliverables: At the end of the internship, several HD-IP controller instances should be able to connect together and show a local LAN which will be used for routers to communicate together, whether virtual or not.

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school or a Master's degree or in 5th year of university, specialising in Engineering, Telecommunications, and Networks.

You have the following technical skills:

·  System: Linux, CentOS 5/7

Specific Environments: Nspawn, virtualbox, VMWare

·  Technologies: C++, IPC, 802.1q, DHCP
·  IP networks

You are a good team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.

English: intermediate level,
French: advanced level.
