Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space (Toulouse) is looking for an intern (m/f) for a 6-month internship.

Within the Toulouse MDO and DMU Improvement (TSOTD2) division, you will join the DESIGN FOR AIT and KIT PROVIDER PROCESS team of the Design Office.

The main role of this entity is to define the assembly kits for the telecommunications and observation satellites for the Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) integration teams.

This internship will start on 2nd January 2017 (subject to some flexibility).

Tasks & accountabilities

Within this entity, your role will be to define new methods for the exchange of data between the Design Office teams and the integration teams using new tools: CATIA V6 & DELMIA and new 3D visualisation tools.

You will be the focal point for the satellite installation teams and the AIT integration teams.
You will therefore be in charge of the following activities:

·  Acquiring an understanding of the functional needs for the assembly kits via the integration teams and the Design Office
·  Revising the definition of the assembly kits in the digital mock-up (CATIA V6) and in PDM (WINDCHILL)
·  Defining the 3D context to allow integration in the clean room using the new 3D visualisation tools
·  Interfacing with AIT as a co-engineer to define the new methods and assembly phases of the various kits
·  Testing these methods on the new CATIA V6 tools and the new 3D visualisation tools

Required skills

You are in the final year of engineering school, completing a Master's degree or in the 5th year of university, specialising in General Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.

You ideally have initial experience in this field.

You are a team player, independent and are willing to make suggestions.

You have knowledge of:

·  CAD tools (CATIA V5, V6, new 3D visualisation tools),
·  PDM tools (WINDCHILL).

English: intermediate level,
French: advanced level.
