Description of the job:

A vacancy for a Military Maintenance Program Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe.
You will be responsible for the development, evolution and optimization of the scheduled maintenance programs (Maintenance Review Board Report and Maintenance Planning Document) for all Airbus Defence and Space Transport programs as part of the Instruction for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) required by FAR/CS 25.1529 regulation.
You will also supervise subcontractors supporting the activities of the department.

Task & accountabilities:
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Guarantying the establishment of a safe and economical maintenance program according to certification requirements,
• Contributing on Time and Quality to the Maintenance Program development and evolutions,
• Delivering, validating and verifying maintenance program requirements for new designs,
• Providing assistance and advice to customers on maintenance programs,
• Supporting daily customer queries Front Desk within given target date and quality,
• Representing his/ her domain of expertise, presenting and justifying Zonal &L/HIRF MSG-3 analyses leading to maintenance program tasks in front of operators Maintenance Working Group meetings under the control of Airworthiness Authorities,
• Providing maintenance engineering support expertise to other Services departments (Supportability/Maintainability, GSE, Technical Publications, CAMO), as well as to other Airbus Defence and Space directorates (design, certification...),
• Contributing to the Maintenance Planning Document development and evolution incorporating scheduled requirements coming from multiple sources and their procedures.
• Contributing to Services Engineering Documentation and Airworthiness Directives Scrutiny for MPD impact either performing the scrutiny or coordinating the activity with a subcontracted company.

This role will involve some travel for business less than four times a year and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills :
You will have the following skills and experience:

• Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical engineering or related.
• From 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.

• Strong knowledge in aircraft maintenance and in MPD is required. 
• Highly concerned by Customer service and service minded
• Good co-ordination and relational skills to deal with Customers, Suppliers
• Reliable Team player, with a good sense of reporting, ability to cope with highly demanding environment
• Language Skills: Negotiation level of English and Spanish is a must.
