Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  development of algorithms to retrieve/extract fromtest data the relevant manoeuvres, from take-off to landing, which are specific to the auto-flight system, and to identify the corresponding test data. Algorithms will be coded in Python,
·  compute performances data to enrich the previous data collection and assess the performances of the autopilot system. It will also allow the building of a reference database for test cases regarding to specific flight phases (automatic approach). Validation of the algorithms and methods will be done with reference development flights, and scalability of the approach will be tested on in-service data.
·  study and comparison of the results with reference dataset (eg. certitication flights) to check if it improves the accuracy of the analysis and the detection of “abnormal “misbehaviour”,
·  detailed analysis of abnormal misbehaviour which can be handled separately from the previous steps, consisting in integrating detailed computer specification models (derived from SCADE/SAO delivered by the Design Office) in order to compute internal parameters to accelerate the analysis capacity.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  in the 2nd year of a Master's degree or in the 5th year of a university or engineering school, specialising in aeronautical field,
·  knowledge of Python (or equivalent) and computer specifications models (SCADE and/or Simulink),
·  Knowledge of flight mechanics and flight control systems,
·  Advanced level of English.
