Description of the job

An internship offer has just been opened at Airbus (Commercial Aircraft), in Toulouse (Colomiers site).
You will join the “Technical data” department within a team of 9 people based in France.

This department is responsible for providing technical support to airlines through the delivery of manuals (technical data) enabling them to keep their aircrafts in service. The team works specifically on the aircraft's general procedures: towing the plane, lifting the plane, cleaning the plane, inspection after a hard landing...

Within the department, your mission will be to review and harmonize aircraft lifting procedures for the aircraft maintenance manual, for all Airbus programs.

This internship will start from March 2018 (date subject to flexibility depending on your school) and will last from 4 to 6 months.

Tasks & accountabilities

After a phase of understanding how the service works and its activities, you will be in charge of:

·  Analysing customers questions
·  Gathering the procedures of the different existing aircraft programs
·  Establishing differences between aircraft programs
·  Collecting lifting procedures used on the Final Assembly Line (FAL) and during test periods
·  Providing a harmonised mock-up (Lifting and lowering on 3 points and lifting and lowering on the nose tip of the aircraft for maintenance)
·  Sending mock-ups to the Design Office for approval
·  Participating in meetings with the Design Office
·  Updating models with Design Office comments
·  Sending mock-ups to subcontracting for final editing

Required skills

You have the following training, experience and skills:

·  You are completing a 4/5-year degree (or equivalent) in aeronautical or general engineering
·  You have some interest in aeronautics and a good knowledge of this sector
·  You have mechanical skills
·  You have knowledge of aeronautical maintenance
·  You master the Pack Office
·  Your ability to synthesize and to be proactive will be major assets to fully carry out the missions entrusted to you
·  You also have a critical mind and enjoy working in a team
·  English : advanced level
